Exploring Identity through Film Directors:

Vince Gilligan

George Vincent Gilligan Jr. is an American screenwriter, producer, and director. He is best known as the creator, primary writer, executive producer, and occasional director of the AMC crime drama series Breaking Bad and its spin-off prequel series Better Call Saul.

Vince Gilligan's TV show Better Call Saul uniquely projects his ideas by displaying characters with their own deep context and history. The story is fantastic, with very exciting events that occur within the crime scene as the TV show is about crime.

In the context of identity, Gilligan's work doesn't necessarily revolve around the theme of identity. However, Breaking Bad does explore complex characters' moral transformations, touching on identity in terms of how individuals evolve and adapt in challenging circumstances.

My Identity Mind-Map

This is a mind map that describes my identity, by stating key components that make my personality and the skillsets that I possess.

Petcha Kutcha Planning

I'm going to be doing a Petcha Kutcha which is a presentation that is quick and straight to the point. For this presentation, I will state everything that I will be doing for my FMP as well as the steps I'll take in order

Pecha Kucha

This is my Pecha Kucha that I've made, presenting what I will do for my FMP. I stated all the key elements ranging from what research I'm going to use to discussing the demographic and my target audience that I plan my projects to be aimed towards.

This Pecha Kucha was fun to make as it gave me a chance to develop my presentation skills along with my communication skills which can be very beneficial for any projects that I might present in the future.

I've got feedback from people on my presentation and most of the feedback that I received was very helpful some included very detailed explanations. Almost everyone has said that my presentation was too short and needed more information to talk about.

I can agree that my presentation was short but I stuck to the meaning of a Pecha Kucha which is to make a short, straight to the point presentation that explains what I am going to do for my FMP. I my opinion I think I did a great job at presenting my Pecha Kucha.

However, I do have to agree with what people said and this is to talk more about the things that I will be doing as it can sometimes be misunderstanding if not provided context and explanations on the topic.

Trevor: Enough to stay awake while working, When are our next paychecks?

Frank: I don't know, our boss is always picky with who gets paid or not, and I certainly do not think that you will get paid anytime soon if you keep falling asleep during your shifts.

Trevor: ...

Frank: Come on, you're dragging me down with you, the boss caught you sleeping on the job, how many times do I have to tell you that if you continue to do this then we will be fired from our job.

Trevor: Look, I hate this job, I just want to do something different with my life other than just sitting on a chair typing all day, I want to do something that I enjoy doing something of my own.

Frank: Thats great, you should achieve your goals, but our next shift is coming up and I do not want you to sleep again.

Trevor: Ok, I'll try my best

Frank: We're getting late for our shift, we should be going now.

Trevor: Yea, I'll be there soon, you have a good one.
